Our first release in 2021 sees the introduction of more productivity enhancements and numerous upgrades to the Tabx user area and chart calculations.

  • Chart settings can now be stored and recalled for later use. Keys for these stored charts can be shared among users attached to a project. Stored charts are defined as directly stored by a user, or stored by export (see below)
  • Stored charts can be automatically generated on export to Excel table or Embedded chart, for audit further in the analysis process
  • Multi component %’s have been added to the Chart Percentage output and Table Output options for Chart & Table combo’s. Component %’s derive each categories base as if that category was a single-type variable
  • Improved SPSS file import process, supporting large SPSS files >100mb in size
  • An “Auto Update” switch has been added to Chart & Table settings
  • Collation results are now cached making toolset first loads almost instant

We’ve added some creature comforts in our first round of user-feedback driven developments this year.

  • Subsets can now be applied to either the Analysis or Break variable, giving you up to 3 dimensions in either orientation for your tables.
  • A Variable Search function has been added to quickly select variables for analysis in larger datasets.
  • Scalar Variables can now have their labels edited alongside all other variable types.
  • Selectable weighting is now added to the Crosstabs tool.
  • A full Base number output text has been added to all Excel output files (table or embedded chart)

Dashboards have received some sizing and export options in this release of Tabx – as well as additions to the weighting system!

  • Manually size dashboards to ensure correct display resolution on your chosen device (or leave in auto to size according to contents!). This also allows users to create vertical, scrollable report style dashboards.

In the second release of the year, we’ve included a demonstration project live and set up for every license. The demo project contains examples of Multi type variables and Derived Variables and is set up so that researchers can see how a sample project is constructed.

We’ve also added “Read Only” dashboards – using a specific link and passcode, any license can provide a read only dashboard to clients. People using the read only version can still interact with the charts and tables on that dashboard, but the functionality is limited to export only.
